What is VOPNet?

VOPNet is a network of UK based researchers and industrialists interested in the development of resins and polymer composites with low environmental impact, using plant derived oils and structures as raw material feedstocks.

Launched in June 2005 at Warwick HRI, the network aims to bring together stakeholders from throughout the supply chain including plant breeders, farmers, researchers and end users of plant derived resins and biocomposites to share knowledge, promote collaborative activity and increase awareness of opportunities in developing sustainable materials and their applications.

VopNet is funded by the EPSRC and is managed by Warwick Manufacturing Group and Warwick HRI at The University of Warwick.

There is an increasing awareness of the environmental impact of resin production and the VOPNet network will promote more sustainable methods and their application.

The VOPNet web site is still being developed, so please check now and then to see what has been added...
